From the backroom of a speciality running store, school friends Brian Beckstead and Golden Harper were on the hunt. They couldn’t find a shoe that felt natural to wear. So it was no surprise when Golden toasted a pair of shoes, heating them just enough to be able to remove the heel and form a Balanced Cushioning platform. What was surprising was the result. For the first time in his life, Golden was wearing a running shoe that he felt wasn’t obstructing the way he ran.
Altra’s FootShape™ toe box allows the toes to relax and spread out naturally and the big toe to remain in a straight position for maximum stability and power.
